ENGIN GUNEYSU’S “RADIO SARAJEVO” PHOTO BOOK PRESENTATION

YARAT Contemporary Art Space invites to the “Radio Sarajevo” book presentation by Turkish photographer Engin Guneysu. During the event, we will discuss the background of the photobook project, the history behind the works, and the photographer’s experience.


Engin Guneysun started the “Radio Sarajevo” photobook project in 2012.  The photobook consists of 5 chapters and covers the period from the former Yugoslavia to contemporary Bosnia (Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo-1984, Bosnian war, Srebrenica massacre, Duje rehabilitation center, modern Bosnia).


Engin Guneysun (b. 1981, Turkey) started his photography career in 2004 as a photo editor at the "Cena" Advertising Agency, and also worked as a photographer for about 5 years at the "Agence Le Journal" Photography and Multimedia Agency. His photographs have won awards in many competitions, including the International National Geographic Competition held in Turkey (second place, 2008). In addition, his works are included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Photography of Turkey, which opened in 2011. Currently, he works as a photo editor in various magazines.
